The Royal Governors of Massachusetts Bay Colony 1692-1780

Acting Royal Governors

An Acting Governor was a Lieutenant Governor that acted in place of the Royal Governor in his absence or in interim periods between the outgoing governor while waiting for the new Royal Governor to arrive.
